Bart is responsible for Major Project Advisory Services and Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Services of KPMG Netherlands Team and has an EMA network leader for GRC/ERM Role Bart is responsible for Major Project Advisory, Risk management, Internal audit, Risk & (contract) compliance services. Bart is Global network leader for GRC and Enterprise risk management. Bart is involved in multiple investigations, advisory and monitoring engagements relating to Major projects, most relate to infrastructural projects, project development and real estate. Bart’s main driver is to focus on doing the right things, so focus on the most relevant risks and controls and not to increase bureaucracy in organizations. In control is the key service, in control on projects, on culture, on risks, on your strategy and on your operational objectives. Bart does not only focus on policies and procedures but also on soft controls, which means the measurement, monitoring and auditing of behavior of staff within organizations related to (project) compliance and internal control.
Stuart has over 22 years experience across the government, services and infrastructure sectors providing internal audit, risk management and project management advisory services. He has also managed project assurance and advisory engagements in relation to project capital allocation and program governance, project governance, risk management and reporting, project cost, schedule and scope management, establishment and operation of Project Management Offices’ and alliance contracting. Stuart’s focus and passion is to work with the Transport, Infrastructure and Higher Education sectors to deliver great outcomes from governance, business processes, managing risk and major capital projects. He leverages KPMG’s global specialist resources, bring to his clients better practice insights and recommend practical, efficient solutions that deliver value for money outcomes and sustainable change in governance, risk management internal controls.
