Biography of speaker:
Shifa Rahman is a Process Engineer at Worley with a major in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Finance. With over four years of experience, she has contributed to conceptual studies, front-end engineering and design, and detailed engineering projects across the UAE, Iraq, and Qatar. Her work spans gas treatment plants, utility plants, CO₂ sequestration research, and energy transition projects for clients such as ExxonMobil, QatarGas, ADNOC, and EGA. Shifa excels at the intersection of technical problem-solving and management.
Alongside her technical expertise, she is an active leader within Worley. She previously served as President of the Graduate Connect Committee UAE and is currently Vice Chair of the Women of Worley Committee UAE, where she drives initiatives that foster executive presence and empower women in engineering. Known for her strong communication skills, she has represented women engineers on International Women’s Day and frequently engages in public speaking to simplify complex concepts and inspire young professionals.
Beyond work, Shifa is adventurous and active. She plays basketball, enjoys hiking, traveling, and values building meaningful connections wherever she goes. Her curiosity and openness to change shape both her personal and professional life, enabling her to adapt quickly, and bring creativity into everything she does.
