Biography of speaker: Mr. Taz Rajabali, CEO Melius Consulting 

My work and life choices have seen me traverse the globe, affording me the privilege of driving success for companies across multiple industries and servicing individuals of every race, nationality, and social diversity. 

I have created sustainable change and delivered enhanced outcomes in disciplines including talent strategy, hiring, leadership development, assessment, learning & development, OD, technology implementations and data analytics, for organizations including McKinsey, Microsoft, Accenture, Vodafone, Philips, Honeywell, and Merrill Lynch. 

Today, I pursue my mission and passion through Melius Consulting, a business I created to redefine what HR can accomplish, to reimagine what can be achieved, to challenge conventional thinking and to deliver game- changing results. I infuse within the organization a focus of simplicity over unnecessary complexity, resourcefulness over waste, and deep-rooted commitments to consistency, continuous improvement, and excellence. 

My mathematics and science-based education, a pragmatic nature and an allergy for ineffectiveness and the superfluous, support my mission. As do a wicked sense of humor and a propensity to tread on the lighter side of life!

Getting hired is a nightmare, let’s face it. 

The endless job applications, the lack of response, the fake job ads, the thousands of applications, the untrained recruiters evaluating your profile….the list goes on, and on, and on. 

But what if I told you that the nightmare was largely of your making?! 

What if I told you that your strategies, approaches, actions, beliefs, are at the very core of job search challenges and NOT, as most people believe, external factors including the market, ATSs, ‘waasta’, the hidden job market, and so forth? 

I have studied, and participated in, the global HR and talent industry for over 28yrs, and with the world’s leading organisations, as an employee or as a Consultant.  I have built incredibly successful Talent, Recruitment, and HR functions by examining all the “rules” and then breaking them! 

And in this workshop, I’m going to show you how you can achieve incredible job search success by firstly ignoring your perception of the rules, and then giving you clear, immediately, actionable strategies to help you go after that dream outcome, whatever it may be. 

You will leave the session perhaps shocked, may be in a little disbelief, perhaps even doubting, but – and I say this with certainty – you will not look at job search in the same way ever again.
